ason studied physics and mathematics at Caltech before becoming a naturalist. He fell in love with Upper Clearwater Valley, his home away from home, while working off and on over the past several years with Trevor Goward on numerous ecological and botanical projects. Jason now concentrates on lichenology, due in large part to the inspiration of the wilderness of Wells Gray. He gives generously of his time and computer skills in support of the park.
