Practice of the Wild

or nearly forty years I have engaged in a deliberate practice of apprenticeship to the Living World. From the beginning it has been my intention to “become autochthonous” or, as I now understand the process, to “indigenize,” that is, to find my way home. My apprenticeship techniques are largely idiosyncratic and therefore, in a few cases, possibly novel. Here I briefly describe six of about ten that may perhaps prove helpful to like-minded pilgrims engaged in similar vision quests toward Gaian Reconciliation.
